David Olvera-Sanchez, originally from Los Angeles, CA, is a junior in Pforzheimer House pursuing a degree in Government with a secondary in Economics and language citation in Spanish. Passionate about media and politics, David has interned with his Congressional Representative in Capitol Hill and VICE News in Mexico City. He plans to intern with Heidrick & Struggles' Financial Services practice in NYC during the Summer of 2017. On campus, he maintains a term-time position with the Harvard Admissions Office as a recruiter for the Undergraduate Minority Recruitment Program and is a research assistant for Harvard Law School's Criminal Justice Policy Program. In terms of his extracurricular involvement, David volunteers as a civics teacher and Sociedad Latina Youth Mentor, co-chairs the Politics of Race & Ethnicity Program and serves on the student boards of the Institute of Politics, Fuerza Latina and the Harvard College Democrats. In his free time, David enjoys bingewatching crime & legal dramas, discussing anything West-Coast related, and traveling. After graduation, David will be joining Oliver Wyman's New York Office full-time.
